Evening Program – New Format

Dear Sangha,

I wanted to let you know about a change to the Wednesday evening program. In an effort to make it more logistically feasible for everyone’s busy schedules, we’ve paired down our evening offering a bit. Instead of two 30-minute sits with 10 minutes of walking meditation in between, we now have a single 30-minute sit, 3 minutes of walking meditation, and a short reading and brief discussion.
For those of you who haven’t made it in a while, I invite you to come back. To get you caught up, I’m attaching our two most recent readings, both from Joko Beck’s book, Everyday Zen. The first reading is 2-pages. Most readings from here on out will be a page or less, and our conversations generally will last 10 minutes or so.
I hope our new format will make regular zazen in a warm-hearted community more accessible to you. Mary and I enjoy holding this space, and we’d love to see you again.
